We are pleased to announce the Operations team, led by Andrew Dean, Brockwell’s GM Operations have completed and commissioned the three gas-fired Back up Boilers on the Earls Gate Project.
Andrew commented “We rejected the plant previously as the incumbent had a huge number of major snags and had not proven the performance of the plant to our satisfaction”. On termination of the incumbent, we were determined to complete the works and supply steam to Calachem our client as soon as possible. We involved the construction team and created a joint working group with operations that drove the close out of the performance issues and snags. The plant is now operating 24/7 with all three 11MWth boilers operating and providing c 10kt / month of steam onto the private network for our client Calachem. I’d like to thank Calachem for their support and patience – I knew once we had control of the asset, we would deliver it safely and efficiently into operation”.
