Brockwell Awards O&M Contract to HZI

We are pleased to announce the award of a long-term Operation and Maintenance contract to Hitachi Zosen Inova (“HZI”). Brockwell under a Management Services Agreement with EGECL, were mandated to run a procurement exercise and nominate a partner for the approval by the board and the project lenders. Brockwell Energy Services Ltd (BRSL) initially TUPE transferred the operations team into its organisation early 2023 following the insolvency of the incumbent contractor.

Andrew Dean, Brockwell GM for Operations, lead the process, negotiated terms, and agreed the contractual provisions with HZI. Andrew commented “it has been a tough negotiation but we have dealt with HZI on other projects and we knew we would be able to develop mutually acceptable terms. We are delighted to have a world class proven and financially robust partner to operate the plant on a long-term basis”.

Neil Young Brockwell’s COO, added, “I’d like to thank the HZI senior team for support in overseeing the negotiations, and in concluding a separate agreement to support with the commissioning of the facility under BRSL as Principal Contractor. It made huge sense to benefit from HZI’s experience of commissioning facilities as the key final stage before the plant is handed over into operations.
